Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team topped the hosts Medgar Evers College, 80-69, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Tuesday evening at the Cougars Cave. The Lightning go to a 6-15 overall record and 5-5 in CUNYAC action, while the Cougars drop to a 5-10 mark and 2-7 in conference play.
Forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo reached the 1,000 career points (combined tenure at Lehman/Monroe CC) as she scored 32 points on Tuesday to lead the visitor's offense.
After trailing at the end of the first quarter (19-13), the Lightning went on a 24 to 15 run in the second period to take a three-point lead at the half and held on for the rest of the game for the victory.
Along with her record points, Diallo completed the 'double-double' with 11 rebounds for Lehman, while center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay added 17 points, six assists and five boards.
The Lightning are back in action on Saturday (February 3rd) when they take on CUNYAC rival York College-NY during Homecoming Weekend at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 12 pm ET.
