Stephens’ 3-Pointer Seal Men’s Basketball Win At Brooklyn

Brooklyn, N.Y. – A three-pointer from guard Jayden Stephens, with five seconds remaining, gave the Lehman College men's basketball team a 70-67 victory against the hosts Brooklyn College, in a CUNYAC match-up, on Friday evening at West Quad Center.  The Lightning go to a 6-6 overall record and a perfect 3-0 CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs fall to a 1-13 mark and 1-2 in conference play.

Lehman had a 10-point lead (47-37) at the 13:03 mark of second half, however Brooklyn went on a 30 to 20 run to tie the score at 67-67 with 54 seconds remaining.

After a turnover by the Bulldogs with five seconds left in the game gave the Lightning's Stephens the chance to hit the winning basket from downtown.

Forward Kai Parris led the Lehman offense with 21 points, while Stephens notched 16 points with seven assists.  Center Manuel DeAundre also joined the attack with a 'double-double' scoring 12 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Lightning are back in action on Monday (January 8th) as Pratt Institute comes to visit The APEX Main Gym, in a non-conference encounter, at 7 pm ET.
