Bronx, N.Y. – Forward
Stephanie Roldan scored her first collegiate goal as the Lehman College women's soccer team defeated visiting Brooklyn College, 1-0, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Saturday, at South Field. The Lightning improved to a 6-3 overall record and 2-0 in conference action, while the Bulldogs dropped to a 3-7-2 mark and 0-1 in CUNYAC play.
The only tally of the game came in 18th minute-mark off a Lehman corner kick in which several players from both sides scrambled to gain possession inside Brooklyn's 18-yard box, and then Roldan shot the loose ball past visitor's goalkeeper Abril Hartje.
The Lightning outshot the Bulldogs 13 to 4, while Lehman goalkeeper
Katelyn Rice had to make just one save for third complete shut out of the season.
The Lightning will look to extend their home unbeaten streak to five games on Saturday (October 12th) when they welcome St. Joseph's University-NY, in a non-conference encounter, at South Field with kickoff set for noon.
