Emily Huerta gave the Lehman College women's soccer team a 3-0 victory against visiting St. Joseph's University-NY, in a non-conference encounter, at South Field on Monday. The Lightning improved to a 7-3 overall record, while the Bears dropped to a 1-10 mark.
Castro opened the scoring for Lehman in the 16th minute-mark off an assist from defender

After Huerta made it 2-0 in the 34th minute, Castro notched her second tally of the match for the Lightning with seconds remaining in the first half.
Lehman outshot St. Joseph's-NY, 16 to 4, with goalkeepers
Katelyn Rice and
Nayalee Morales, each posting one and two saves, respectively.
The seven victories so far this season by the Lightning is the most since the 2021 campaign.
Lehman is back to CUNYAC action on Wednesday (October 16th) when it travels to take on York College-NY at 3 pm ET.
