Box Score Jamaica, N.Y. - Four goals by midfielder Emily Huerta led the Lehman College women's soccer team to an 8-1 victory against hosts York College-NY, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Wednesday afternoon, at YC Outdoor Athletic Complex.  The Lightning improved to an 8-3 overall record and 3-0 in conference action, while the Cardinals dropped to a 2-8 mark and 1-1 in CUNYAC play.

The CUNYAC playoff bound Lehman jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the intermission after a pair of tallies from Huerta and one from midfielder Claudia Diaz.

In the second stanza, Huerta added two more goals for the Lightning, while midfielder Barbara Meda also had two and forward Lory Castro notched one. Meanwhile, the only tally for the Cardinals was scored by forward Alisha Adams.

The eight victories this season for Lehman is the most since the 2017 campaign.

Lehman will look to secure a home CUNYAC playoff game when it travels to square off against CCNY on Saturday (October 19th) at Randall's Island with kickoff set for 4 pm ET.
