Lory Castro's goal pace the Lehman College women's soccer team to its third consecutive victory, for the first time since 2021, as it defeated visiting Maritime College, 1-0, in a non-conference match, at South Field on Thursday evening. The Lightning improved to a 5-2 overall record, while Privateers go to a 5-5 mark.

Maritime searched for the equalizer and outshot the hosts 14 to 6. However, the Lightning held on the for the victory as goalkeeper
Katelyn Rice posted five saves for second complete shutout of the season.
The Lightning are back in action on Saturday (October 5th) when they travel to take on Centenary University-NJ, in a non-conference encounter, at 1 pm ET.
