Heaven Figueroa had 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the Lehman College women's basketball team to a 65-34 victory against the hosts York College-NY, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Friday evening, at the Health & P.E. Complex. The Lightning go to a 3-3 overall mark and 1-0 in conference play, while the Cardinals dropped to an 0-5 record and 0-1 in CUNYAC action.
After holding a four-point lead (16-12) at the end of the first quarter, Lehman went on a 16 to 9 run in the second period to increase its advantage to 11 points (32-21) going into the intermission. The Lightning then outscored the Cardinals 33 to 13 in the final two periods for the victory.

Emily Kennedy notched 16 points, eight steals and seven assists for Lehman, while center
Ciara Shillingford added nine points and 11 boards.
The Lightning continue their road swing on Saturday (December 7th) when they travel to take on SUNY-Delhi, in a non-conference game, at 3 pm ET.
