Box Score Bronx, N.Y. - The Lehman College women's basketball team concluded its regular season with a 66-49 loss against visiting Baruch College, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Wednesday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning finish the regular season with a 7-18 overall record and 6-8 in CUNYAC action, while the Bearcats improved to a 15-10 mark and 10-4 in conference play.
Prior to the encounter, the Lehman athletic department honored the seniors forward Ramataoulaye Diallo, center Myandra Duquesnay and guard
Chris Mary Martinez, who were playing their final regular season game at home with the Lightning uniform.
After Lehman jumped out to an early 8-5 lead, Baruch went on a 20 to 9 run to take an 11-point advantage at the end of first period. The Bearcats then outscored the Lightning in the second quarter to their lead at the intermission (41-25) and never trailed for the rest the game.
Diallo led the Lehman offense with 16 points, while guard
Jordyn Perez had 12 points and forward Musharafa Muniru was a steal shy (nine) of a 'triple-double' as she added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The playoff bound Lightning have earned the number fifth seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Post-Season Tournament and will await its opponent for the opening round that commence this weekend.
