Men’s Basketball Drop Home Finale Against Baruch

Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team dropped its home regular season finale on Wednesday evening to CUNYAC leader Baruch College, 74-61, at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning ended the regular season with a 16-9 overall record and 11-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Bearcats improved to a 17-8 mark and 13-1 in conference play.

Prior to the game, the Lehman athletic department honored the seniors – guards Cameron Burns, Alec Singer; center DeAundre Manuel; and forward Adrian Rosario, who were playing their final regular season encounter at home with the Lightning uniform.

After Lehman took an 11-5 advantage with five minutes into the first half, Baruch went on a 35 to 16 run to take a 13-point lead at the intermission.  The Bearcats never trailed after that stopping any possible comeback by the Lightning in the second stanza for the victory.

Forward Kai Parris led the Lehman offense with 18 points, while Burns notched 16 points with nine assists.

The playoff bound Lightning will now await their opponent in the upcoming CUNYAC Post-Season Tournament which commence this weekend.
