Center Valley, Pa. – The Lehman College softball team dropped a non-conference twin-bill (11-0, 9-1) at Desalles University on Sunday at McGettigan Park. The Lightning go to a 3-6-1 overall record, while the Bulldogs improved to a 10-4 mark.
The highlight for Lehman in the opener was pitcher
Jireh Espina as despite receiving the loss on the mound, she did not give up an earn run and had the only hit for the team.
In the nightcap, Espina once again provided the offense spark as she drove in the only run, that was scored by short stop
Patria Sanchez to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead in the first inning. However, the Bulldogs tied the game in the bottom of the first, then added two more runs in the second and six more in the fifth for the victory.
Lehman returned to action on Thursday (March 21st) when it travels to St. Joseph's University-LI for a non-conference doubleheader at 4 pm ET.
