Kings Point, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped a non-conference twin-bill against the hosts USMMA (United States Merchant Marine Academy), 18-1 and 17-3, at Reinhart Field on Sunday. The Lightning go to an 0-8 overall mark, while the Marines improved to a 6-8 record.
In the opener, Lehman tied the score (1-1) in the top of third before USMMA notched runs in the bottom half of the ending and never trailed after that. First baseman
Elias Fermin led the Lightning offense going two-for-three with a run scored.
In the nightcap, Lehman once again level the score (1-1) in the top of third, however USMMA once again got two runs in the bottom of the inning to reclaim the lead. Mariners added for more runs in the fourth, then outscored the Lightning 10 to 2 in the next innings for the victory. Centerfielder

Kevin Arias went one-for-three with a run scored.
The Lightning return to action on Wednesday (March 27th) when they hosts Western Connecticut State in a non-conference encounter at South Field with first pitch set for 4 pm ET.
