Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team lost its home regular season (38-0) to non-conference opponent Maritime College, on Wednesday at South Field. The Lightning go to a 0-22 overall record, while the Privateers improved to a 21-11 mark.
After trailing 2-0 after two innings of action, Lehman surrendered eight runs in the third and 11 more in the fourth as Maritime easily pulled away. The Privateers also hit six homers for the victory.
The highlight for the Lightning was outfielder
Tran Hennessy as he went two-for-three, while infielder
Elias Fermin was one-for-two.
Lehman is back in action on Friday (April 26th) when it takes on the hosts Baruch College, in a CUNYAC twin-bill, at noon.
