Purchase, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team ended its season after an 11-6 loss to hosts CCNY in the opening round of the CUNYAC Championship Playoffs on Tuesday. The Lightning concluded their campaign with a 0-27 record, while the Beavers improved to a 14-19 mark.
Lehman trailed 11-3 going into the top of the ninth inning, when it scored three runs to cut the deficit to three, however CCNY held on for the victory.
Second baseman
Ryan Rosa scored twice and drove in a pair of runs for the Lightning, while first baseman Elias Ferman homered and added 2 RBI. Rightfielder
Cristopher Cruz went two-for-four with a run scored, while Leftfielder
Brandon Deynes was one-for-three with a run scored.
