Bronx, N.Y. – For the first time since 2015, the Lehman College women's soccer team start its season with a perfect 2-0 overall record as midfielder
Barbara Meda scored a career-high four goals on Tuesday evening in the 9-1 victory against the home side Yeshiva University (0-4) in a non-conference game held at South Field.
Along with Meda's tallies, forward
Lory Castro and midfielder
Emily Huerta scored two goals each, while teammate
Maria Martinez added one for the Lightning.
Lehman goalkeeper
Katelyn Rice made her first collegiate save against Yeshiva as she also earned her second consecutive victory of the season.
The Lightning are back in action on Saturday (September 14th) when they welcome the College at Old Westbury in a non-conference encounter at South Field with kickoff set for 3:30 pm ET.
