Bright Takyi gave the Lehman College men's soccer team its first win of the 2024 season after defeating the hosts College at Old Westbury, in a non-conference encounter, at Panther Park on Wednesday. The Lightning go to a 1-2 overall record, while the Panthers drop to a 2-2 mark.
For a third consecutive game, Ali Sogoba opened the scoring for Lehman as the Bronx native put the ball in the back of the net in the second minute against Old Westbury.
Takyi notched the Lightning's second tally of the game in the 73rd minute-mark off an assist from midfielder
Hameed Gado, while goalkeeper
Andres Barajas had six saves for the shutout victory.
Lehman returns to action on Friday (September 13th) when it travels to Madison, N.J. to take on FDU-Florham in a non-conference game at 6 pm ET.
