Montclair, N.J. – Guard
Heaven Figueroa's 21 points wasn't enough for the Lehman College women's basketball team as it fell by a score of 74-34 to hosts Montclair State University, in a non-conference game, at Panzer Athletic Center on Saturday. The Lightning go to a 5-6 overall record, while the Red Hawks improved to a 9-3 mark.
After Lehman trailed by 15 points at the end of the first quarter, Montclair State increased their advantage when it went on a 16 to 3 run to close out the opening half. The Red Hawks continued their dominance in the second half as they shot 45 percent from the field for the game, while the Lightning were limited to just 23%.

Julieni Martinez added five points for Lehman, while forwards
Mush Muniru and
Emily Kennedy had 14 and 10 rebounds, respectively.
The Lightning will look to end their current three-game losing streak next Wednesday (January 8th) when they travel to take on CCNY, in a CUNYAC encounter, set for 5 pm ET.
