The Lehman College women's soccer team (0-9:0-1)) dropped a hard fought 4-0 decision to conference rival John Jay (6-2-3:1-0) this afternoon on the South Field.
In the CUNYAC opener for both squads, the Bloodhounds' Ava Lopez found the back of the net in the sixth minute to put John Jay on top, a place they would stay all day. In the 31
st Minute the Bloodhounds doubled their advantage off the foot of Sofia Soler. It stayed 2-0 until the 70
th minute when Anna Wehr extended the lead. Lopez rounded out the scoring in the final minute of the contest.
The Bloodhounds had the complete run of play, out shooting the Lightning 31-0. Lehman goal keeper
Katelyn Rice was called upon to make 12 saves.
The Lightning return to action on Thursday afternoon as they travel to Riverdale to face the University of Mount Saint Vincent. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 PM.
