Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team fell by a 3-0 score to visiting Purchase College, in a non-conference encounter, at South Field on Thursday evening. The Lightning go to an 0-8 overall record, while the Panthers improved to a 4-6 mark.
Forward Lindita Selmani opened the scoring for Purchase with a penalty kick goal in the 13th minute-mark. In the second half, midfielder Julieth Velasquez added two more goals in the 61st and 77th minutes, respectively, for the Panthers victory.
Lehman goalkeeper Katelyn Rice had eight saves.
The Lightning returns to action on Saturday (October 11th) when it hosts John Jay College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at South Field, with kickoff set for 2:30 pm ET.
