Box Score Salisbury, Md. – For the first times since 1975, the Lehman College women's basketball team posted a victory against Kean University after defeating the New Jersey side, 70-59, during the consolation game of the Governor's Challenge Tournament, hosted by Salisbury University, at Wicomico County Civic Center on Sunday. The Lightning improved to a 4-3 overall record, while the Cougars fall to an 0-4 mark.
After trailing by seven points (20-13) at the end of the first period, Lehman went on a 21 to 9 run in the second quarter to take a 34-29 advantage at the intermission and did not look back. The Lightning triumph snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Cougars as the last win against Kean was 83-56 on January 10, 1975. The victory was also the 340th in the career of Lehman head coach Eric Harrison which now makes him the CUNYAC All-Time leader.

Sage Fanelli led the Lehman scoring on Sunday with a career-high 26 points, while teammates
Nelson Asamoah and
Heaven Figueroa notched 12 points each.
The Lightning is back in action on Tuesday (November 25th) when it travels to Jersey City, N.J. take on Division I's side Saint Peter's University at The Victor R. Yanitelli, S.J. Recreational Life Center at 3 pm ET.
