Kofi Mends registered 20 points to lead the Lehman College men's basketball team to an 82-54 triumph over visiting Brooklyn College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at The APEX Main Gym, on Thursday evening. The Lightning improved to a 6-5 overall mark and 2-0 in CUNYAC play, while the Bulldogs dropped to a 3-8 record and 1-1 in conference action.
After Lehman jumped out to a 44-36 lead at the intermission, the hosts continued its run into the second half as it outscored Brooklyn by 20 points (38 to 18), while shooting 48 percent from the field, including 50% from three-point range.
Forward
Ricardo Dixon notched 18 points and three blocks for the Lightning, while teammate
Amar Ndiaye posted his fifth 'double-double' of the season scoring 17 points with 23 rebounds. Ndiaye also had three blocks, while guard Kesean Tracy added 11 points.
Lehman will be back in action next Friday (December 19
th) when it travels to Hackensack, N.J. for an exhibition game with Division I side FDU at the Bogota Savings Bank Center with tip-off set for 3 pm ET.
