Emily Kennedy notched 25 points with nine rebounds however it wasn't enough for the Lehman College women's basketball team as it fell 70-60 to visiting Brooklyn College, in a CUNYAC match, on Thursday evening, at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to a 6-4 overall record and 1-1 in conference action, while the Bulldogs improved to a 7-2 mark and 2-0 in CUNYAC play.
Lehman trailed by only six points after the first quarter, then Brooklyn outscored the hosts 24 to 15 in the second period to increase its advantage to 16 points. The Lightning attempted a comeback and outscored the Bulldogs 33 to 27 in the next two quarters, however Brooklyn held on for its 14th victory in its last 15 head-to-head meetings against Lehman.

Isabela Araujo and
Heaven Figueroa added 12 points each for the Lightning.
Lehman will be back in action later this month (December 29th) when it hosts Alverina University, in a non-conference match-up, at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 1 pm ET.
