Women’s Basketball Drop CUNYAC Quarterfinal At John Jay

Box Score New York, N.Y. – Guard Heaven Figueroa notched 38 points; however, it wasn't enough for the Lehman College women's basketball team as it dropped a 67-51 CUNYAC Quarterfinal encounter to hosts John Jay College, at The Doghouse, on Saturday.  The Lightning concluded their season with an 11-15 overall record, while the Bloodhounds advanced to the CUNYAC semifinals with a 12-14 mark.

After Lehman jumped out to a 27-26 advantage at the intermission, John Jay went on a 24 to 13 run in the third quarter to take the lead and held on in the fourth period for their 13th consecutive victory against the visiting side.

Forwards Nikol Gnoutou and Mush Muniru scored eight points each for the Lightning.  Gnoutou also grabbed 10 rebounds and forward Emily Kennedy dished out 10 assists.
