New York, N.Y. – After defeating the CUNYAC Regular Season Champion, Baruch College, last week, the Lehman College men's volleyball team concluded its third consecutive conference victory after topping the hosts CCNY, 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 15-25, 25-23), at Nat Holman Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 15-9 overall record and 7-7 in CUNYAC action, while the Beavers fall to 4-18 mark and 3-11 in conference play.
The CUNYAC playoff bound Lehman took the first two sets, before dropping the third to CCNY. In the fourth set, the Beavers had a 6-5 lead, before the Lightning went on a 20 to 12 run to win the set and the match.
Ray Rodriguez registered nine kills and 11 digs for Lehman, while
Almir Pepic notched eight kills and
Emmanuel Cochran hit six kills.
John Zerafa and
Jayden Diaz dished out 13 and 10 assists, respectively, while
Alain Abreu Esteva had five kills and 10 digs.
The Lightning will conclude the regular season on Thursday (April 3rd) when they hosts Bard College at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
