Wayne, N.J. – The Lehman College softball team split a non-conference twin-bill at William Paterson University, as it lost 7-0 before winning the second game 4-3, at Pioneer SB Field on Friday. The Lightning improved to a 7-13 overall record, while the Pioneers fell to a 13-15 mark.
After a scoreless first inning, in the opener, William Paterson scored three times in the second, one in the fourth and three more in the sixth for the win. Outfielder

Jireh Espina were the only ones to obtain a hit for Lehman.
In the nightcap, the Lightning trailed 2-0 after five innings, before scoring twice in the top of the sixth to tie the game. Lehman then added two more runs in the top of the eighth and held off William Paterson's late rally in the bottom of the inning for the victory. The Lightning will be back in action on Saturday (April 19th) when they take on Baruch College, in a CUNYAC twin-bill, at South Field, with first pitch set for noon.
