New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team lost a three-set (23-25, 19-25, 21-25) CUNYAC Championship Quarterfinal Match to hosts John Jay College on Tuesday evening at The Doghouse. The Lightning go to a 16-10 overall record, while the Bloodhounds improved to an 18-9 mark.
After dropping the first two sets, Lehman had a 21-20 lead in the third. However, John Jay went on a 5-0 run to win the match and advanced to the semifinals of the CUNYAC Championships.
Almir Pepic led the Lightning offense with 10 kills, while
Emmanuel Cochran had nine kills.
Ray Rodriguez registered six kills and 11 digs, while
Christian Agudo dished out 31 assists and nine digs.
Lehman, which recorded the most victories (16) in a season since 2015, awaits a possible bid to the 2025 ECAC Championships.
