Old Westbury, N.Y. – A career-high 19-save performance by goalkeeper Katelyn Rice wasn't enough as the Lehman College women's soccer team fell 2-1 in a non-conference encounter to hosts College at Old Westbury, at Panther Park on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to an 0-2 record, while the Panthers improved to a 4-1 overall mark.
Forward Skylar Catrambone opened the scoring for Old Westbury the 12th minute-mark.
Two minutes into the second half, Lehman midfielder Christalyn Thomas notched the equalizer for her first collegiate tally. However, midfielder Briana Sayoc would hit the game-winner for the Panthers in the 65th minute.
The Lightning will be back in action on Saturday (September 20th) when it hosts New Jersey City University, in a non-conference game, at South Field with kickoff set for 1 pm ET.
