Bronx, N.Y. – A 'double-double' (20 points, 14 rebounds) by guard
Heaven Figueroa led the Lehman College women's basketball team to an 80-26 victory against visiting York College-NY, in a CUNYAC encounter, at The APEX Main Gym on Wednesday. The Lightning improved to a 9-7 overall record and 4-1 in conference play, while the Cardinals remain winless this season with an 0-10 mark and 0-5 in CUNYAC action.
After taking a 24 to 4 lead at the end of the opening quarter, Lehman never looked back and dominated the rest of the match allowing York-NY to just single digits in team scoring in three of the four periods for its sixth victory in the last seven head-to-head encounters.

Isabela Araujo added 12 points for the Lightning, while teammate
Emily Kennedy had 10 points and six steals.
Lehman returns to action on Friday (January 16th) when it hosts Hunter College, who is also 4-1 in CUNYAC play, in a key encounter at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 7 pm ET.
