Sage Fanelli notched 22 points with nine rebounds along with eight assists and steals to lead the Lehman College women's basketball team to a 73-54 victory against visiting Medgar Evers College, in a CUNYAC match, on Saturday at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to an 11-9 overall record and 6-3 in conference play, while the Cougars dropped to a 2-17 mark and 1-8 in CUNYAC action.
After Medgar took a three-point lead (36-33) early in the third quarter, Lehman went on a 15 to 4 run to conclude the period and gained an eight-point advantage. The Lightning then outscored the Cougars 24 to 14 in the fourth quarter to post its eighth consecutive head-to-head victory.

Isabela Araujo had 14 points for Lehman, while teammate
Nelson Asamoah added 12 points with six assists.
The Lightning are back in action next Tuesday (February 3rd) when it hosts CCNY in a CUNYAC encounter at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 5 pm ET.
