Heaven Figueroa was two assists (eight) shy of a 'triple-double' as she scored 26 points with 16 rebounds to lead the Lehman College women's basketball team to an 80-39 victory against visiting CCNY, in a CUNYAC encounter, at The APEX Main Gym, on Tuesday evening. The Lightning improved to a 12-9 overall record and 7-3 in conference play, while the Beavers dropped to a 5-14 mark and 3-7 in CUNYAC action.
After Lehman jumped out to an early 15-8 first quarter lead and never looked back as it forced CCNY to commit 43 total turnovers, while converting 37 points off them for its tenth consecutive head-to-head victory.
Figueroa also had five steals for the Lightning, guard
Nelson Asamoah added 12 points and nine rebounds.
The CUNYAC playoff bound Lehman will be back in action on Friday (February 6th) when it travels to Queens to take on York College-NY, in a conference match, at 5 pm ET.
