New York, N.Y. – A 'double-double' (20 points, 12 rebounds) performance from guard
Heaven Figueroa wasn't enough as the Lehman College women's basketball team fell in a CUNYAC match, 79-55, to the hosts Hunter College, at the Sportsplex on Wednesday evening. The Lightning go to a 13-10 overall record and 8-4 in conference play, while the Hawks improved to a 17-6 mark and 10-2 in CUNYAC action.
After Lehman trailed by just a point (15-14) at the conclusion of the first period, Hunter went on a 21 to 9 run in the second quarter to pull away and hold on to its 15th consecutive head-to-head victory.

Emily Kennedy added 15 points for the Lightning, while teammate
Sage Fanelli notched seven points.
The playoff bound Lehman will look to lock in a home game in the opening round of the CUNYAC Championships when it hosts Baruch College on Saturday (February 14th) at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 1 pm ET.
