Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team became the first side since 2016-17 campaign (Staten Island) to finished undefeated in CUNYAC regular season, with an unblemished 14-0 record, after topping visiting John Jay College, 71-66, at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The #1-seeded Lightning go to a 19-6 overall ledger, while the Bloodhounds fall to a 9-16 mark and 7-7 in conference play.
After Lehman had a 20-point advantage (50-30) five minutes into the second half, John Jay went on a 33 to 15 run to cut the lead to just two points (65-63) with 1:36 remaining. However, the Lightning outscored the Bloodhounds 6 to 3 to close out the game and post the victory.

Kofi Mends registered 14 points to lead the Lehman offense, while forward
Tyler Harts posted 13 points and teammate
Ricardo Dixon had a 'double-double' with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
The Lightning, as the CUNYAC Regular Season winner, earns an opening round bye at the CUNYAC Championship and will hosts the winner of the #4-seeded York College against #5-seeded John Jay next Tuesday (February 24th) at The APEX Main Gym.
