Jamaica, N.Y. – For the first time since the 2021-22 campaign, the Lehman College men's basketball team has claimed the CUNYAC Regular Season Crown as well as the #1-seed in the upcoming conference playoff tournament after a convincing 98-63 victory against hosts York College-NY on Friday evening at the Health & P.E. Complex. The Lightning go to a 16-6 overall ledger and an unblemished 11-0 mark in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals dropped to a 7-11 record this season and 7-4 in conference play.
After Lehman took a 23-point lead at the intermission, the Lightning outscored the Cardinals 43 to 31 in the second stanza to post its tenth consecutive victory this season.

Zay Marte led the way for Lehman as he registered a career-high 24 points, while forward
Manny Barkor also had a personal best 21 points. Guard
Kofi Mends recorded 16 points, while forward
Ricardo Dixon posted 13 points and teammate
Amar Ndiaye added a 'double-double' scoring 11 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
The Lightning will look to remain unbeaten in CUNYAC play next Wednesday (February 11th) when it travels to take on Hunter College at the Sportsplex with tip-off set for 7 pm ET.
