Alanis Vasquez, a Bronx native,  has been named the CUNYAC Women's Field Performer of the Week for the week ending March 29, 2026.

While competing at the Battle of Madison, hosted by FDU - Florham,  Vasquez threw the javelin 28.21m, a CUNYAC qualifying mark to finish fourth in the competition.  It is the top mark in CUNYAC this season.  She also took eighth place in the discus (21.46m) and ninth in the shot put (7.76m).  

Vasquez, a junior, and her team mates will be back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University
