Bob Harris to Retire After 32 Years

 
Long time Fitness Center Director Bob Harris has announced his retirement from Lehman College.  His last official day will be June 25, 2026. 
 
Bob has been the Fitness Center Manager at the Apex since the building opened its doors in 1994. Prior to his duties at Lehman College, he served as the Director of the Fitness Center and Wellness Program at the Mutual of New York in Westchester County. He received his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY-Cortland before going to the University of Connecticut to study exercise physiology, where he obtained a Master's Degree.
 
 
As the Fitness Center Manager, he is responsible for the year-round conditioning of Lehman's student-athletes. Throughout the year, he operates the pre-season, in-season, and post-season fitness programs for Lehman student-athletes. He is also in charge of ensuring that Lehman's student-athletes are fit for competition by performing fitness evaluations on a regular basis. 

In addition, he develops programs for the Apex Fitness Center including the Lehman College Biggest Loser Challenge and managing the daily operations of the facility.
 
Most recently Bob was awarded the Excellence in Service Award, honoring his outstanding professionalism and commitment to service.
