Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball fell in three sets (9-25, 22-25, 16-25) to the host St. Joseph's University-NY, in a non-conference match, at The Hill Center on Tuesday evening. The Lightning drop to an 0-10 overall record, while the Bears improved to a 4-3 mark.
After losing the first two sets, Lehman only trailed by one late in the third (8-7). Then, St. Joseph's-NY went on a 17-9 run to win the set and the match.
Alanis Vasquez led the Lightning offense with nine kills, 11 digs and four service aces, while
Ayah Hamdaoui also had nine kills and seven digs.
Edith Oblitas dished out 11 assists and grabbed five digs.
Lehman will look to end its 13-match losing streak, dating back to last season, when it travels to Connecticut to take on Albertus Magnus College in a non-conference encounter on Friday, October 2nd at 5 pm ET.
