The 411 on William Rivera:
William Rivera is in his third year with the Lightning. In his first season, Rivera was a very versatile player with the Lightning, as he played the infield, pitched, and made a handful of appearances behind the plate. Last season, it was much of the same for Rivera, who played multiple positions when his number was called. His willingness to accept any role makes him the ultimate team player. Rivera's goal this season is to become a fixture in coach Quirk's starting lineup.
Coach Quirk’s comments on William: “William is a hard-working role player that will make the most of his playing time, whether it is in the outfield or on the mound. He has earned the reputation of being a team-first student-athlete, and he has always given me 100 percent. We expect that same attitude from him this season.”
