Biography
The 411 on Xavier Garvin
Xavier Garvin returns to the fray having spent the last two seasons as a member of the Lightning. Prior to the 2008-2009 campaign, coach Schulman said that he expected big things out of Garvin, and the Mount Saint Michael Academy product did not dissapoint.
A big part of Lehman's ECAC championship run, Garvin appeard in 29 of Lehman's 30 contests, starting 28 of them. He finished second on the team in assists with 96, and he averaged 10.7 points per contest. He also led the team in field goal percentage, knocking down 49.6 percent of his shots.
Towards the end of last season, Garvin was establishing himself as one of the top point guards in the CUNY Athletic Conference, and coach Schulman believes Garvin will be in the top three in the conference at that position this season. His ball-handling and three-point shooting has improved this offseason.
