2009-2010 Men's Basketball Roster
Biography
The 411 on Jonathan DeJesus
Jonathan DeJesus enters his second season as a member of the Lightning after being one of the big reasons why the Lightning enjoyed so much success during the 2008-2009 campaign. A season ago, the Mount Saint Michael Academy product played in all 30 of Lehman's contests, starting 25 of them. His grittiness on the glass so him pull down 197 boards, a total good for second on the squad. He also shot the ball exceptionally well, knocking down 47 percent of his field goal attempts (94-200). This season, he'll be expected play at a high level once again if the Lightning are to be successful.
In the preseason, DeJesus was elected team captain by his peers, something the sophomore called "an honor." During the offseason, the forward spent a good amount of time attempting to improve his perimeter game, and coach Steven Schulman believes that he has done so. With the Lightning losing Alen Redzic to graduation last year, the sophomore will need to step up on the glass this season.
