2009-2010 Women's Basketball Roster
Biography
The 411 on Kelsey Ash
Sharpshooter Kelsey Ash returns to Lightning for her second and final season with the team. Head Coach Eric Harrison tabbed Ash as Lehman's second half MVP following last season, and the 5'9 three-point threat is expected to play an even bigger role for the Lightning during their 2009-2010 campaign.
A season ago, the guard appeared in all 31 of Lehman's contests, starting 29 of them. Her 76 three-pointers led the team, and her 52 steals were good for second on the squad. She also dished 67 assists, a total that put her behind only Tonisha Kirby for the team lead.
Coach Harrison believes that Kelsey's experience playing in the CUNYAC and ECAC tournaments a season ago will be critical in her progression as player during the upcoming season. The guard has worked extremely hard in the offseason to work on her three-point shooting and ball-handling ability. She also was named one of team captains in the preseason, and she is expected to provide leadership in that role.
