The 411 on Tonisha Kirby

Tonisha Kirby will enter her second season as a member of the Lightning after putting forth a stellar first campaign at Lehman College. For her efforts, she was named a CUNYAC Second-Team All Star prior to the CUNYAC Tournament, and her terrific play continued during the CUNYAC and ECAC tournaments. For the season, Kirby appeared in 29 games, starting 28 of them, averaging 10.7 points per game and leading the team with 151 assists.

Head Coach Eric Harrison believes that Kirby will be the floor leader for this year's team. The New Hampton SchoolLehman College. product brings is extremely versatile and can contribute in so many ways. She can knock down the three-point shot as well as handle the ball or dish an assist. Her court awarness is phenomenal, and during the preseason, she was named as one of the Lightning's team captains.
