The 411 on Barbara Febus
Barbara Febus joined the Lightning late last season after transferring from Nicholls State, and she competed in 13 of the team's games, starting five of them. In those 13 games for Lehman, Febus dished 36 assists, averaged 5.8 points per contest and shot just under 40 percent from the floor. Her experience in coach Harrison's system last year will benefit her entering her first and last full season with the Lightning.
Head Coach Eric Harrison believes Febus will be one of the contributors that will help fill the void that was created with the losses of Sally Nnamani, Whitney Barnes, and Monique Sampson. Harrison believes Febus is a great player with a tremendous court sense, and she exemplified that while she played in critical games for Lehman down the stretch of last season. A versatile presence, Febus can play all five positions on the court, and her durability will go a long way for a revamped Lightning unit.
