Biography

The 411 on Melissa St. Louis

Melissa St. Louis comes to the Lightning with a wealth of experience as in 2008, she played with teammates Tonisha Kirby and Dorothy Hunte as the trio led Mohawk Community College to the National Championship game where the three put forth valiant efforts in a loss to Monroe Community College. Still, the experience St. Louis gained from that run, and her prowess as an offensive threat (she averaged 30 points per game during her high school career) will certainly make her a critical piece to what Lehman will be trying to accomplish in 2009-2010.

St. Louis is the projected starting small forward for the Lightning. Known as a terrific all-around threat, the Brooklyn native can handle the ball, shoot the three, and slash to the basket. Her versaility is going to create a tremendous amount of problems for the opposition this season. She is expected to bring a new dimension to Lehman basketball.
