The 411 on Amadoernesto: Amadoernesto Guzman returns to the Lightning with hopes of helping the team build off of its 20-win 2008 campaign. Last season, Guzman played in 35 games, starting 33 of the team, and hit .344 with 13 doubles and 43 RBI's. The potent offensive threat also slugged .476 and drew 14 walks, a total good for third-best on the squad. A student of the game, Guzman will hope to help Lehman both on the field and in the dugout giving advice. 

Coach Quirk’s comments on Amadoernesto:  “We plan on giving Amadoernesto a break from catching so he can concentrate on becoming a dependable hitter for us. He’ll be locked into the designated hitter slot this season, and we'll be counting on him to do big things. He was an All-Star a year ago. He's a team captain and his leadership will be huge for us.
