The 411 on Leonardo Hernandez: Leonardo Hernandez will embark on his second year with the Lightning. Last year, he played in 32 games, hitting .275 with 16 RBI. A graduate of Jane Addams High School, Hernandez participated in the PSAL championship game in 2007 at Keyspan Park in Coney Island. During a high school game, he pitched a complete game while also hitting a grand slam to win the contest.
Coach Quirk’s comments on Leonardo: “Leonardo is a player who returns with experience under his belt from last year. He will start at third base for us and he'll also be expected to drive in runs and do special things with the bat."
