The 411 on Douglas Choi: Douglas Choi joins the Lightning after playing baseball at Robert F. Wagner High School. His work ethic in the preseason has encouraged the Lehman College coaching staff, and the big man is hoping to contribute this year both at the dish and eventually in the field. He'll start off as the team's DH, but Head Coach John Quirk would like to see him make strides defensively by the time the season wraps up in May.
Coach Quirk’s comments on Douglas: "Douglas will be counted on to do good things for us defensively. We'll use him mostly in the DH slot, and we want him to fine-tune his fielding by season's end."
