Before being named an Assistant Coach for the 2018-19 season, Marcial played two seasons for the Lightning. His first at Lehman was the 2016-17 campaign where he helped guide the Lightning to a 17-10 mark. The following year he was instrumental in taking the Lightning to the CUNYAC finals as Lehman went 22-5 on the season.
During the 2016-17 season, Marcial earned 16 starts while averaging 10.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. The following year, he started every game averaging 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest. He ranked second on the team in steals and blocked shots while shooting an impressive .477 from the field.
Jean assists in all facets of a Division III program. He major responsibilities include player development (specializing in post play) scouting and recruiting. Coach Marcial has played a significant role in the recruitment of Lehman College student athletes, including playing major role in the recruitment of 2022 All- American Gian Batista.
