Ramon Jimenez

Ramon Jimenez came back to Lehman in the spring of 2017 to join rookie head coach Sovanny Ebbesen as a volunteer assistant.  In the summer before the women’s fall 2017 season Jimenez was elevated to an Assistant Coach.
 
Jimenez a four year letter winner at Lehman was a standout middle blocker and Captain for the Lightning. During his tenure as a Lightning, Jimenez totaled over 400 kills and 100 blocks. He was also named to the 2015 CUNYAC All-Sportsmanship Team and the 2016 Lehman Men’s Volleyball Team MVP for his breakout senior season where he was amongst the conference leaders with a .224% hitting percentage, 2.88 points per set, and 2.41 Kills per set.  
 
Jimenez holds a B.S. in Exercise Science, is a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM, and is also both a NFHS Accredited Coach and a USAV IMPACT Accredited Coach. His previous coaching positions included stints as the Head Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at Riverdale Country School, and is an Assistant Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coach for Legacy Volleyball Club’s 18s National Team.  
 
Jimenez’s role with the Lightning will include scouting, video, player development and training.
