Fider, who has been in charge of women's and men's sides since 2019-20, once again will lead both Lightning squads in 2022-23.
Despite the current overall records with men's (12-32) and women's (5-41) teams, Fider set the foundation to rebuilding the programs which has led the Lightning to a CUNYAC Men's Postseason last spring and second consecutive playoff campaign for the Lehman women.
Prior to joining Lightning athletic staff in 2019, the Nyack College graduate Fider has coached in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and New York, with over a dozen years of coaching in high school, juniors adult and club volleyball.Â
She also played collegiately as an opposite hitter and defensive specialist at Nyack and Dowling College.
More recently, Fider was appointed to a three-year term (2022-25), as the CUNYAC representative for the men’s DIII volleyball awards committee for both All-American and North Region committees for the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association). Â
Fider's full-time work has been in the mental health and social service industry.
