Meet Results

Saturday afternoon at the APEX Aquatics Center brought an out of conference opponent for the Lightning in the form of the SUNY College at Old Westbury.

No matter, both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams handled the Panthers with relative ease as the men scored a 99-81 win while the women swam by their female counterparts 71-64.

Sophomore Ivan Srdanovic was a double event winner, copping the 50-yard freestyle (24.01) and 100-yard freestyle (55.07).

Other non-exhibition first place finishers for the Lightning included Myrializ Serrano (1000-yard freestyle), Nik Shala (1000-yard freestyle), Tanaka Nyemba (200-yard freestyle), Chris Mammano (100-yard butterfly), Adriana Navarrete (100-yard freestyle), Basilisa Alonso (100-yard backstroke), Matthew Martinez (500-yard freestyle), and Nadia Alie (100-yard breaststroke).

Mailys Besnard and Joaquin Cruz were high scorers in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.

Lehman concludes its home swim meet season on Monday night when Queens College visits the APEX.
