The 200 yard freestyle relay kicked things off at the Annual CUNYAC Swim Championships hosted by Lehman College at the APEX Aquatic Center.  The Men's quartet of Aiden Townsend, Romulo Valadez, Joseph Fernandez and Brahian Rosario-Ortiz captured the Bronze medal in a time of 2:10.83.  While the women's relay team of Amya Sanchez, Liberty Almanzar, Shivani Raghuthu and Soleil Liburd finished fifth.  In the 400 yard medley relay the women's squad of Almanzar, Sanchez, Gisley Velez and Patricia Soriano finished fifth.  

Through day one, the Lightning men sit tied for third with York while the women are in fifth place.  Action continues tomorrow at 9:00 AM in APEX Aquatic center on the Lehman campus.
